CEO Andy Murphy: Andy first came to Ghana as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in 1998. He worked in the Upper East from 1998 until 2004, initially as a researcher with Nature Conservation Research Centre (where he met his future business partner John Mason). Returning to the United States, Andy earned a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University in 2007. Following graduation from Harvard he joined the World Wildlife Fund in Washington, D.C., where he was Deputy Director for the Global Market Transformation Initiative. He left WWF in 2012 to become the full-time CEO of Ecolodge Mole Operating Company, Ltd., the legal entity behind Zaina Lodge.o.

Chairman of the Board John Mason: John is the executive director of the Nature Conservation Resource Centre in Ghana, an organization he founded in 1995. NCRC focuses on rural tourism development that is rooted in the premise that conservation will be effective when communities affected by it receive tangible economic and cultural returns. A Canadian citizen schooled in Nigeria, John has worked in West Africa for more than 30 years. He is a member of the World Bank’s Forest Carbon Partnership Facility and a pioneer in developing the model of Community Resource Management Areas, which deliver community benefits through conservation..
The Zaina Lodge Team
(Sales and Marketing Manager) has led the marketing and promotion of Zaina Lodge in Mole National Park since February 2015. Prior to joining ECGL she was the Marketing Manager at Cheki Ghana, Ghana’s largest car sales website, part of the One Africa Group of Companies, and she also served for six years as the head of customer service for Amal Bank. Araba also brings to ECGL experience with Anders Buss Denmark and Barclays Bank.
Executive Chef Udit Shetyy: Udit is a veteran of the Oberi hotel group in India, where he worked for hotels in Goa, Cochin, Bangalore and Simla. Chef Udit trained extensively in Continental cuisine and has wide-ranging experience with Indian cuisine. His last posting was as Junior Sous Chef at the Zuri Bangalore. He earned his hospitality degree from Vijayakakshmi Institute of Hospitality Sciences in 2009.
